HOW TO USE THE GUIDE


The guide consists of 14 levels:

LEVEL 0- LEARN ENGLISH
This level is the first step towards preparation. This is an optional level. some students have weak foundation in English so before staring any preparation for cat it is advised to first clear your English fundamentals. This level also helps student improve their spoken English.
English is used by almost everyone. It is also very helpful is day to day conversations, personal interviews, group discussions and also used in most workplaces. Hence it is very important to learn to speak fluent English rather than mugging up a few concepts.

LEVEL 0-LEARN MATHEMATICS
This level is also optional. It is designed for students who don’t have a strong mathematics base. Especially those who are not from science/engineering background are not in touch with math for more than 5 years. Therefore this level provides a short course just to clear your fundamentals and get in touch with mathematics.

LEVEL 1-STAT PREPARATION
Before you open your books and start studying it is important to learn all about the entrance exams you will be appearing for. the syllabus for all exams remains the same but the pattern of each exam is different. Therefore it is important to learn about the exam, when where and how it is help, difficulty level the syllabus and pattern of the exams, etc.
This will help you make your preparation strategy/timetable for exam.

LEVEL 2-LEARNING FUNDAMENTALS
This level consists of concepts of all topics like quant, verbal, rc, sc, di, ds etc.
One of best things about this guide is that it consists of at least 3 different explanations of concepts from different authors. Since fundamentals are the first step it is important that you understand them. various different explanations are given to make sure that if you don’t understand the concept of one you can use the other one and if u still don’t understand it you have an option to use the third. This will make sure that you understand every concept of every topic easily

 LEVEL 3  ( 1 ) - PRACTICING WORKBOOKS
This level consists of workbooks for practice. The workbooks are divided according to the level of difficulty and the number of questions.
Solving Workbooks is important because the only way to get accuracy and speed in your performance is through practice.

LEVEL 3 (2 ) - INCREASING GENERAL AWARENESS
This level consists of general knowledge workbooks, things to remember lists, quizzes   etc. it is always good to be updated with the current affairs but in case you are have a “I don’t care attitude “and not interested in the events happening around you, you might want to start preparation because GK questions are asked in most MBA entrance exams as well as group discussions and personal interviews.

LEVEL 4- STARTING MOCK CATS
This level consists of mock cats. Mock cats are very helpful. They help you analyze your performance and your preparation. They also help increase your speed and accuracy. Therefore solving mock cats is one of the important steps of cat preparation.

LEVEL 5- USING E-BOOKS TO IMPROVE YOUR PREPARATION
E-books are a very effective way to gain an advantage over the other students competing in cat. We have collected the most important books that need to be read by an MBA aspirant to clear your fundamentals, help you strategize your preparation, give you tip and tricks to improve your preparation, provide information from experienced authors etc. they are very helpful and provide a lot of information .these e-books are not only helpful for the exams but are also helpful in your day to day life.

 LEVEL 6- LEARNING STRATEGIES
This level is one of the most important levels in exam preparation. There are 2.5 lakh students appearing for the exam, studying the same books, going for the same classes as you so the competition is huge. The only way to have an advantage over the other 2.5 lakh students is to use strategies to give your exam. The way you attempt the paper is as important as the no of correct answers. Mock cats of T.I.M.E, CL, IMS etc are available in this level. To make the maximum use of these mock cats it is advised to solve this level only when you are confident of your preparation.

LEVEL 8-SOLVING PREVIOUS YEARS CAT PAPERS
Solving previous cat papers is important because it gives you an idea of the level of difficulty of the exam and the pattern of the exam. Once you have practiced all the previous cat papers it will boost your confidence immensely. It also helps to stay calm during the exam because you have already experienced the pattern and have an idea of what the exam is like. This way you won’t panic before the exam.

LEVEL 9-ALL IN ONE LIST
All-in-one list has lists of formulas, points to remember and all the important information combined in one, for easy access. This helps students save a lot of time because all the information that is needed is organized neatly in a list.

LEVEL 10- USING SOFTWARES TO EXPERIENCE THE REAL CAT EXAM
These softwares can be used to get yourself accustomed to the computer based exam pattern. Most students are habituated to using paper pen while studying but due to the computer based pattern of cat it is important to get in a habit of using the computer.

LEVEL 11-REVISION
This is one of the important steps in exam preparation. If time permits the students should revise their concepts and practice questions to make sure they remember all the concepts clearly. Since most students prepare for a year or more it is possible to forget some of the fundamentals you learnt few months ago. Therefore it is important to revise all the concepts and refresh your memory.

LEVEL 12-SOLVING MOCK PAPERS OF OTHER ENTRANCE EXAMS
Most students don’t bother to solve other exam papers while giving a particular exam because they think it’s not important but you should remember that most exams have the same syllabus and same type of questions. Therefore it gives you an advantage to solve other exam papers because it provides a large amount of practice questions of the difficulty level similar to cat.

LEVEL 13- READING ARTICLES FROM PROFESSIONALS ON CAT STRATEGIES AND TIPS

Topics asked in gd pi, how to answer, what is gd, what is pi, what do they judge in gd pi, what can be asked, how to behave during gd pi rounds, dos and don’ts etc. Even 99.9% score in cat doesn't guarantee your admission in a college. You have to clear all the rounds in order to get selected. Therefore students should spend as much time as possible after the exam to prepare for your group discussion and personal interview.
